Careers

Herring House Trust staff are dedicated to supporting the homeless people who ask for our help. They are creative in finding ways to best work with people who are often living with many complex issues. They have integrity and professionalism and the high standard of our work is because of them.

We value people with life experience who are compassionate and understanding. We are committed to equality and inclusion and welcome people to join our team from all walks of life.

We need positive people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get on with the job. People who are professional and feel strongly about improving the lives of homeless people.

In return, you will have: -

  • An organisation that understands the importance of a home-life and work balance – we organise our rota system to ensure you have ample time away from work to re-charge.
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and career, taking up a range of training, which will be on offer.
  • Work within a culture of respect and inclusion.
  • Be part of a team-based approach to work – we are a small, supportive team, where your unique qualities will be valued.
  • A competitive salary and work-based benefits.
  • A supportive and empowering management team – they will recognise your contribution and value your work.
  • Be part of an organisation that will listen to your voice – you will be consulted on changes that affect you and you will help shape the direction of the Trust.
