What we do

Herring House Trust offers a wide range of services, to meet the needs of homeless and vulnerable people in Great Yarmouth. Our main aim is to help people find the support they need to tackle the issues that have contributed to them becoming homeless. With our help we support them to move out of homelessness to live a safe and fulfilled life.

We provide immediate, emergency support in our Hostel, move on accommodation in our four residential houses and we can secure longer term housing for people in the private rented sector. We run a resource centre dedicated to supporting people in the community, providing prevention services which reduce the risk of repeat homelessness.

In addition, we offer a dedicated counselling service and a specialist High Support Unit, offering accommodation, support and group work for people in recovery from substance dependency.
